What is Intex Pharma Letrozole?
Letrozole suppresses estrogen production by inhibiting the aromatase enzyme that converts androgens into estrogen in postmenopausal women. By lowering the estrogen levels, Letrozole prevents/ slows down the growth of breast tumors. It also prevents recurrence by shrinking existing breast tumors. Thus, Letrozole is often the first line of treatment for post menopausal women who test positive for hormone receptor positive or metastatic breast cancer. It is also used in post menopausal women who are suffering from advanced breast cancer after antiestrogen therapy.
Each pack of Intex Pharma Letrozole contains 60 tablets of 2.5 mg each. It is for oral use only.
